1. A Professional Recommendation
May 24, 2007
To Whom It May Concern:
As the Cleft Lip/Palate Team Coordinator and Speech-Language Pathologist for the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at NYU Medical Center, I interact daily with many families and their outside specialist. I became acquainted with Tanya M. Sanchez and the Emilia’s Kids staff approximately 3 years ago. I invited Ms. Sanchez and some co-therapists to attend one of our Cleft Lip/Palate Conferences. Ms. Sanchez volunteered to translate for one of the families that were being conferenced and that began our association.
Ms. Sanchez is always eager to assist our mutual patients, especially the ones who are non-native non-English speakers. She accompanied several of her Early Intervention children who were being conferenced and even transported and spent the day in the hospital with one family whose 1 year old was being operated on. She served these families not only as a therapist, but as a strong support.
I strongly recommend Emilia’s Kids as a team of professional, well trained, and caring therapists. They go above and beyond for their patients and are able to access and provide strong support for the multicultural populations.
Sincerely,

Re: Tanya Sanchez/Emilia’s Kids
To Whom It May Concern:
My son William Daniel Fichera has been receiving services at Tanya Sanchez’ Emilia’s Kids for approximately 6 years. Tanya and her staff are an extremely rare blend because not only have they always been professional, but, extremely caring and compassionate as well. Both Tanya and her staff immediately earned my implicit trust and I have always considered them angels from above and miracle workers. These words are not “just being said” I have literally entrusted my son’s life to Tanya and have no idea where we would be today if we weren’t lucky enough to have met her when we did.
Sincerely,
William Fichera |
