Emilia’s Kids is a comprehensive multidisciplinary pediatric clinic centrally located in Middle Village, Queens.  We offer speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy to the 0-21 population.  Our supervisory staff has over 26 years combined experience in working with special needs children.

The core of our philosophy has always been “Disability second, Child first.”  We have been working with children at this center for over 10 years, providing them with individualized therapy programs in a triad framework of therapist, family and child. We believe in supporting families throughout their various transitions through their child’s educational journey.  Our staff of speech therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists readily interface with social workers, psychologists, service coordinators, special educators, and many other professions in the best interests of each family and the child’s development.

Emilia’s Kids prides itself on offering many of the innovative treatments available.  We are always striving to keep up to date with new technology and new research.  As an agency our focus has been on sharing new technology with our whole staff, parents and related professionals and agencies.  Our therapists are trained in therapy programs such as:

We have a gross motor gym with a rock climbing wall, monkey bars and a slide, a sensory gym with swings, ball pits and sand/rice tables, blacklight sensory room, a fine motor writing room and improved private speech therapy rooms.  We are also handicap accessible and have plenty of parking available.  Services are available 10-7pm Monday thru Friday and Saturday 9-3pm.

Emilia’s Kids always has new programs such as a parent-training program that deals with such issues, such as toilet training, feeding development and sleeping disorders.  New programs that are currently evolving are Pet Assisted Therapy, Sibling and Parent Support Groups, Yoga for Special Needs Children, and a Bowling Team.
